DRB-Hicom returns to black in 2Q with RM58.09mil net profit

KUALA LUMPUR: DRB-Hicom Bhd swung to the black with a net profit of RM58.09 million in the second quarter (2Q) ended June 30, 2025, from a net loss of RM17.08 million in the same period last year.

The group, which owns 70 per cent of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd, attributed the better performance mainly to increased profit in the banking sector due to higher income from financing and investments, as well as a reduction in the allowance for impairment of financing due to improved recoveries from customers.
