PETALING JAYA: Axis Real Estate Investment Trust
(Axis-REIT) has proposed to buy a warehouse site in Telok Gong, Port Klang from TS Worldwide Warehousing Sdn Bhd for RM80mil cash.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the trust noted the facility measures 41,248 sq mt or 10.19 acres of leasehold land expiring in April, 2093. The structure has a net lettable area of 259,310 sq ft.
The Property is currently leased to Tuck Sun Logistics Sdn Bhd at a monthly rental of RM425,764. The purchase will be funded by existing bank financing of Axis REIT.
It added the asset is of high quality, earnings accretive property with strong recurring rental income.
"The Proposed Acquisition of the Property will be accretive to Axis-REIT’s distributable income and adds to the property portfolio that will benefit the Fund in the long term," it stated in its filing.
