‘Muted, uneven’ recovery for semicon industry


PETALING JAYA: Local semiconductor players continue to navigate a period of heightened uncertainty as a convergence of tariff and trade uncertainty, supply chain dynamics and foreign-exchange (forex) volatility continue to cloud the outlook for the sector.

Fortress Capital Asset Management Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Thomas Yong said the industry is likely to experience a period of “muted and uneven recovery” in the next two to three quarters.
