PETALING JAYA: Luster Industries Bhd has announced that an industrial accident has occurred at the Selangor factory of its 56%-owned subsidiary, Glovmaster Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Luster said the incident involved the collapse of a storage rack at the factory.

“Immediate actions were taken following the incident, and all necessary support and assistance have been provided.

“The group has been adopting a cautious approach to its glove manufacturing operations. This segment contributes minimally to the group’s overall revenue and does not contribute to the group’s profitability.”

Luster said the financial impact may include the damage incurred as well as the temporary suspension of manufacturing operations.
