Possible restriction on chips looms over SunCon


PETALING JAYA: While a knee-jerk reaction is expected for Sunway Construction Group Bhd (SunCon) following news last week of a possible US plan to restrict shipments of artificial intelligence (AI) chips to Malaysia, estimates for the group have been left unchanged, analysts say.

Maybank Investment Bank Research (Maybank IB) believes it is still too premature at this point to pass judgement.
