Wang-Zheng’s factory hit by fire


PETALING JAYA: Wang-Zheng Bhd has reported that a fire had broken out at the factory and warehouse of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Carefeel Cotton Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, in Rawang, Selangor.

The company, which is principally engaged in manufacturing, processing and distribution of fibre-based products, told Bursa Malaysia that the fire incident occurred in the morning on Monday, June 30.

“The affected factory is one of the manufacturing sites for products marketed under house sales and undertakes contract packing for various in-house brands.”

Wang-Zheng said the fire has since been brought under control and investigations into the cause of the fire are currently underway.

“The board will make further announcements as and when there are material developments and / or significant financial or operational implications to the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025.”

For its first quarter ended March 31, 2025, Wang-Zheng’s net profit dropped to RM502,000 from RM1.47mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue rose to RM80.04mil from RM69.47mil a year earlier.
