AmMetLife Takaful appoints Nazrulhisham Abdul Hamid as new CEO


KUALA LUMPUR: AmMetLife Takaful Bhd has appointed Nazrulhisham Abdul Hamid as its new chief executive officer (CEO) effective June 16, 2025.

Before Nazrulhisham joined AmMetLife Takaful, he also served as the CEO of Zurich Takaful Malaysia.

This appointment is significant for the company as Nazrul has 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles across the takaful and insurance industry.

"He has spent over a decade in the takaful sector, covering both family and general takaful sales and operations. Prior to joining AmMetLife Takaful, he served as the CEO of Zurich Takaful Malaysia," the takaful company said in a statement today.

MetLife's regional head for Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal and Vietnam, Elena Butarova said the company welcomed Nazrulhisham to AmMetLife Takaful, adding that his proven leadership, deep industry knowledge, and strong track record in driving growth and operational excellence will be instrumental in taking the takaful business to new heights. - Bernama
