Malaysia’s manufacturing sales rise 4.8% in April


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s manufacturing sector recorded a 4.8 per cent year-on-year increase in sales value to RM160.6 billion in April 2025, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM).

Chief Statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the growth was mainly driven by the food, beverages and tobacco sub-sector, which continued its double-digit expansion with an 11.1 per cent rise.
