Slumping crude oil price a risk to govt revenue


PETALING JAYA: The government, which sees about a fifth of its revenue coming from petroleum-related income, will not be able to ignore slumping crude oil prices that are likely to face more downward pressure.

The government’s Budget 2025 projected benchmark Brent crude to range between US$75 and US$80 a barrel this year and for petroleum-related revenue of RM62bil.
