TMK: No impact from supplier deal termination

PETALING JAYA: A major supplier to TMK Chemical Bhd is terminating the agreement for the distribution of alkalis in the Vietnam market, which TMK says will not have “material financial and operational impact” on the group.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, chemicals manufacturer TMK said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Chlor-Al Chemical Pte Ltd received a notice of termination from the supplier, whose name was not disclosed, on June 4

The effective date of termination will be Dec 31, 2025.

“There are numerous alternative suppliers in the market who sell the same inorganic chemicals at similar prices, quality and quantity,” it said.
