CAB Cakaran subsidiary's system hacked


KUALA LUMPUR: A subsidiary of CAB Cakaran Corp Bhd was the target of a cyberattack on June 3, 2025, resulting in a data breach, the group said in a filing with the stock exchange today.

The group said 51%-owned poultry farmer and processor Farm's Best Food Industries Sdn Bhd's accounting system was hacked, and it is currently in the process of assessing the impact and recovering the affected data.

"Efforts are being made to restore full functionality of the accounting system with the support of internal IT personnel and external cybersecurity consultants.

"At this juncture, the extent of the data breach and any financial implications are still being evaluated," it said.

The trading stock in CAB Cakaran was up 2.5 sen to 67 sen a share at the close of Thursday trading after 310,500 shares changed hands.
