SCRB acquires Sarawak land for RM5.6mil

PETALING JAYA: Supreme Consolidated Resources Bhd (SCRB) is proposing to acquire a parcel of mixed-zone land measuring 14,690 sq m in Kuching, Sarawak, from Globalmas Sdn Bhd for RM5.6mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the integrated fast-moving consumer goods firm said it intends to build a new warehousing and cold storage facility, which will serve as an additional distribution centre for the group in Sarawak.

It said the current facilities are operating at almost full capacity, which has led to the occasional need to rent additional storage space. This increases expenses and reduces operational efficiency.
