MCE secures contracts worth a combined RM120.67mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Automotive electronics and mechatronics supplier MCE Holdings Bhd, via its subsidiaries, has bagged multiple new contracts valued at a combined RM120.67mil.

In a statement, it said its subsidiary, Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Bhd, had secured a RM69.59mil supply contract with JVIS USA LLC, a Michigan-based automotive components supplier of top-tier global carmakers.

The 60-month contract entails the supply of mechatronic components for a vehicle model in the US market, with production scheduled to commence in the first quarter of the financial year ending July 31, 2027.

Meanwhile, the same subsidiary has also secured domestic contracts with Perodua worth about RM41.33mil, which involve two upcoming models - one each of an electric vehicle (EV) and an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle.

MCE will supply a range of electronic and mechatronic components for the EV model over 36 months starting in 2QFY26, and for the ICE model over 72 months beginning in 1QFY27.

The group added that another subsidiary, MCE Hengtuo Sdn Bhd, has secured a 60-month supply contract with Proton for mechanical and mechatronic parts for a new car model, valued at about RM9.75mil.

The project is expected to begin in the first quarter of July 31, 2026.

"These contracts reflect the trust that leading automakers, both at home and abroad, have placed in MCE to deliver advanced and cost-effective automotive components, even amid a time of heightened volatility

and shifting global trade dynamics," said MCE group managing director Goh Kar Chun.
