Ancom Nylex 3Q net profit at RM18mil

The group attributed the weaker quarterly performance to reduced earnings across most business segments.

PETALING JAYA: Ancom Nylex Bhd has recorded a lower net profit of RM18.05mil in the third quarter ended Feb 28, 2025 (3Q25) from RM20.11mil previously.

Its revenue also fell to RM449.01mil during the quarter as compared to RM516.78mil in 3Q24. For the nine-month period, the group posted a net profit of RM46.42mil and a revenue of RM1.42bil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group attributed the weaker quarterly performance to reduced earnings across most business segments, including investment holdings, agrichemicals, industrial chemicals, and logistics.

However, its polymer segment saw revenue rise to RM21.3mil in 3Q25, supported by stronger contributions from its Surabaya, Indonesia plant.

Despite this, segmental profit dropped to RM1.8mil from RM2.6mil due to lower margins and sales at its Shah Alam, Selangor facility.

The group has proposed a second interim dividend for the financial year ending May 31, 2025, to be distributed as one treasury share for every 100 shares held.

Moving forward, the group pointed out that it would remain vigilant in managing risks amid global economic uncertainties and continue to explore business opportunities.
