Exsim Hospitality sees strong growth with RM112.08mil order book


KUALA LUMPUR: Exsim Hospitality Bhd expects its total order book of RM112.08mil as of Dec 31, 2024, to contribute positively to its overall revenue and profitability in the upcoming quarters of the financial year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Exsim said since its diversification into fit-out and interior design business, the group via its wholly owned subsidiary, Exsim Concepto Sdn Bhd secured three contracts worth approximately RM128.35mil and expects to secure more contracts in the financial years.

In its hospitality segment, the group has secured 437 managed property contracts in the first six months of the financial year ending 30 June (FY25) and is actively securing more by end of FY25.

“As for our hotel segment, the renovation works for our Corus Paradise Resort is expected to commence in the financial year.

“We are confident that pursuant to the renovation and revamping of the property we will be able to further improve profitability arising from an increase in occupancy rates as well as providing new ancillary services such as new food and beverage services within the resort,” Exsim said in the notes accompanying its financial results.

In the second quarter ended Dec 31, Exsim posted a net profit of RM2.2mil, or earnings per share of 0.24 sen compared with a net loss of RM732,000, or loss per share of 0.08 sen.

For the quarter, its revenue surged to RM19.4mil against RM1.7mil posted last year.

For the first six months to Dec 31, it posted a net profit of RM1.9mil on revenue of RM21.7mil.
