Bracing for a challenging year ahead

Khazanah Nasional Bhd managing director Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir.

KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the country’s sovereign wealth fund, believes that 2025 will not be an easy year, with global megatrends clouding prospects over the long term, while worldwide macroeconomic trends will continue to influence investment decisions for the short and medium term.

The fund’s managing director Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir said this despite Khazanah having achieved a profit from operations of RM5.1bil for 2024, which represented a 13.6% year-on-year (y-o-y) decrease from the RM5.9bil achieved in 2023.
