Mulpha International disposes of Australian shopping centre for RM233mil

PETALING JAYA: Mulpha International Bhd (MIB) is disposing of the Capri on Via Roma shopping centre in Queensland, Australia to Capri Holding GC Pty Ltd for A$85.5mil (or approximately RM233.42mil).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MIB said the proposed disposal will enable the group to recycle its invested capital, thus strengthening its cash flow.

“The sale proceeds from the disposal are intended to repay bank borrowings associated with the property, with the remainder to be utilised by MIB Group as part of its business activities.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances and subject to the fulfilment of the terms and conditions in the contract and receipt of approval from the relevant authorities, the disposal is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025,” it said.
