Positive outlook for CIMB Thai on earnings growth


Kenanga Research said CIMB Thai “likely (has) seen the worst behind it."

PETALING JAYA: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd’s Thai operations appear to have turned a corner, buoyed by improving asset quality and credit costs, which are expected to support earnings growth.

The stabilisation of Thailand’s political environment, following the installation of a new prime minister, has further enhanced the outlook for businesses and investments in the country.
