Short-selling in Salutica shares suspended


KUALA LUMPUR: Intraday short-selling (IDSS) of Salutica Bhd's shares has been suspended for the rest of the day following a drop in share price of more than 15 sen.

Shares in the company hit a low of 23 sen a share on Friday, representing a 19 sen decline from its previous closing price of 42 sen a share.

According to the Bursa Malaysia announcement, the short selling under IDSS will only be activated the next trading day at 8.30am on Monday, Jan 20, 2025.

Under Bursa Malaysia's short-selling rules, IDSS activities will be suspended should a stock under RM1 a share lose more than a daily limit of 15 sen a share. The daily limit is 15% for stocks above RM1 a share.
