HANOI: Consumers’ purchasing power for the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday has tended to increase from the 11th lunar month over the past few years.

However, this year’s festive shopping demand is forecast to decrease, as people target simplicity and cost-effectiveness or simply want to spend more time resting.
