Xin Hwa subsidiary resumes operations after license suspension

KUALA LUMPUR: Xin Hwa Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary, Xin Hwa Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd (XHTT), has resumed operations under its goods vehicle operator license.

“The board wishes to announce that as of Jan 13, 2025, XHTT has fully resumed normal operations under its goods vehicle operator license

“The company has not received any further enquiries or requests for clarification from the authorities in relation to the suspension. This development confirms the conclusion of the matter, and XHTT can now proceed with its normal operations,” Xin Hwa said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In November 2024, Xin Hwa announced that its cargo transport unit had its goods vehicle operator licence suspended by the Johor Baru Land Public Transport Agency for non-full compliance with the industrial safety code of practice.

The suspension, which was set to last four months (from November 13, 2024, to February 10, 2025), was to be lifted once full compliance with the Code of Practice for Industrial Safety (ICOP-Keselamatan) was achieved.
