Public Bank in Jati Tinggi solar tie-up


Under the agreement, Jati Tinggi's unit will install photovoltaic solar panel systems across 135 Public Bank branches.

PETALING JAYA: Public Bank Bhd and Jati Tinggi Group Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding for a project valued at RM14.88mil.

Under the agreement, Jati Tinggi, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, will install photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems across 135 Public Bank branches, covering 333 lots of properties.

“Public Bank is dedicated to leading by example in the financial sector by integrating sustainable practices into our operations.

“The installation of solar panel systems across our branches represents a key component of our broader environmental, social and governance strategy,” it said in a statement.

The installation of the solar panel systems is expected to begin in early 2025, with completion targeted within three years.
