Solarvest acquires 30% equity in waste gas abatement machine manufacturer


KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest Holdings Bhd has acquired 450,000 shares representing 30% of the equity interest in SIW Manufacturing Sdn Bhd for RM36mil as it continues to expand its presence in clean energy and sustainable technology ecosystems.

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SIW Manufacturing is principally involved in manufacturing in waste gas abatement machine and gas system related modules and components for the semiconductor industry

"By acquiring a 30% equity stake in SIW Manufacturing, Solarvest aims to diversify its revenue and earnings through entry into high-growth markets while broadening its technological capabilities.

"Leveraging SIW Manufacturing’s expertise in waste gas abatement and gas systems, the acquisition unlocks opportunities for operational synergies and complements Solarvest’s existing clean energy solutions," said Solarvest.
