Malaysia plans to produce sustainable jet fuel in 2027

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia plans to start producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in 2027, with an initial production capacity of one million metric tons per year, Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said on Tuesday.

The production capacity will gradually increase based on factory output and feedstock availability, the minister told parliament.
