EA Technique unit bags three contract extensions with PETRONAS for RM63.9mil


KUALA LUMPUR: EA Technique (M) Bhd's (EATech) wholly-owned subsidiary Libra Perfex Precision Sdn Bdh has secured three contract extensions with PETRONAS Floating LNG 1 (L) Ltd (PFLNG1) for a combined sum of RM63.9mil.

In a statement, the group said it secured a RM41mil contract extension for tugboat services in September 2024, followed by two contract extensions for emergency standby vessel (ESV) services for PFLNG1 in October 2024, for RM22.9mil.

It said each of these contracts have a two-year term commencing in November 2024, and will provide revenue visibility over the same period.

"These contracts, as part of our ongoing portfolio, demonstrate the value of recurring projects in contributing to a stable revenue base and ensuring operational continuity," said executive director Datuk Wira Mubarak Hussain Akhtar Husin.

EATech’s firm order book currently stands at RM169.5mil, complemented by optional contracts valued at RM217.2mil.
