Uzma gets integrated well continuity services contract from PETRONAS

PETALING JAYA: Uzma Bhd has accepted an award from Petroliam Nasional Bhd for the provision of Pan Malaysia integrated well continuity services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Uzma said the award was secured via its subsidiaries Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd and Setegap Ventures Petroleum Sdn Bhd.

“The scope of works comprises three main packages, which are integrated well intervention, integrated workover for production enhancement and abandonment and hydraulic workover unit.

“The appointment is effective on Oct 10, 2024 and shall remain valid for five years until Oct 9, 2029.

Uzma said the appointment will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of the company, as it does not involve the issuance of ordinary shares in the company.

“However, it is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2025 and onwards until the expiry of the appointment.
