Ecoscience bags RM200mil pellet plant construction job

PETALING JAYA: Ecoscience International Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Wilhelmina Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the engineering, procurement and construction of the TG2 pellet plant in Kuantan, Pahang, worth RM200mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the constructor of palm oil mills and facilities said the completion date for the construction work shall be 24 months from the commencement date of Dec 2, 2024.

“There are no foreseeable significant risks other than the usual operational risks associated with the construction works which are in the ordinary course of business of company and its subsidiaries, which the group would take appropriate measures to minimise.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the letter of award is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, assuming no material delay in the timing.”

Ecoscience said the letter of award will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholdings structure of the company.
