Licence freeze to have impact on Xin Hwa

PETALING JAYA: Xin Hwa Holdings Bhd has announced that its cargo transport unit has had its goods vehicle operator licence suspended by the Johor Baru Land Public Transport Agency for non-full compliance with the industrial safety code of practice.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the suspension will have an adverse impact on its operations.

It said Xin Hwa Trading and Transport Sdn Bhd had failed to ensure that all goods vehicles under its operation are maintained in a condition deemed safe for use by the director general of road transport.

The suspension will take effect from Nov 13, 2024 to Feb 10, 2025, or until it achieves full compliance with the Code of Practice for Industrial Safety.
