SunCon accepts RM265mil additional works

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Group Bhd’s (SunCon) wholly-owned subsidiary Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (SCSB) has accepted RM265mil as additional tenant improvement works (TIWs) in respect of variation orders under a contract awarded by Yellowwood Properties Sdn Bhd.

Including the previous TIW accepted by SCSB last month, the total sum accepted to date is RM347 million, SunCon said.

The contract is a variation order under the general contractor services for Project JHB1X0 to carry out the works for a data centre located in Sedenak Tech Park in Johor.

“With the award issued by Yellowwood under the contract, the total contract amount has now increased from the original contract amount of approximately RM3.2bil to RM3.5bil,” SunCon said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

It is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the group from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2024,” SunCon added. — Bernama
