Pekat unit bags RM115mil EPCC contract in Perak

KUALA LUMPUR: Pekat Group Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Pekar Solar Sdn Bhd has accepted a RM115mil contract from MF Solar Tronoh Sdn Bhd to undertake engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works for a 29.99MW AC (MWac) solar photovoltaic plant for the corporate green power programme (CGPP) at Belanja in Kinta, Perak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the project is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, and is expected to achieve commercial operation date by Dec 31, 2025.

"The contract secured is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of Pekat and its group of companies for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, onwards until the expiry of the contract, and will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of the company," it said.
