Allianz's net profit rises to RM167.02mil in 2Q24

KUALA LUMPUR: Allianz Malaysia Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM167.02 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2024 (2Q 2024) compared to RM166.67 million in 2Q 2023.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the company said its revenue also increased to RM1.37 billion from RM1.16 billion previously, due to higher insurance revenue from its general and life insurance segments.

For the six months ended June 30, 2024 (1H2024), the group recorded a higher net profit of RM356.85 million compared to RM339.36 million in 1H2023, while revenue also rose to RM2.71 billion from RM2.33 billion previously.

Chief executive officer Sean Wang attributed the company’s performance to its astute planning over the years, which resulted in its steady growth.

Hence, he said the group expects to continue this growth momentum in 2H2024 in line with the positive development in the nation’s economy. - Bernama
