Under the agreement, TM Tech has the right and authority to design, develop, install, test, commission, operate, manage and maintain the NG999 System and provide the NG999 services to the government.

“NG999 will be for a period of 12 years, commencing from the effective date in 2024, the date of which will be determined by the government, until 2036,” it said.

TM said NG999 is a strategic digital platform for public to access emergency services offered by five key emergency agencies nationwide including the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Health Ministry, Fire and Rescue Department, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency and Civil Defence Force (APM).

This platform also integrates response centres operated by TM Tech with emergency agencies control and operation centres.
