HCM City targets US$25,500 agri output per hectare

HO CHI MINH: Though Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City’s farmlands continue to disappear due to rapid urbanisation, productivity has increased over the years, reaching 575 million dong (US$22,615) per hectare last year, according to its Agriculture and Rural Development Department.

The city targets increasing the value to 650 million to 750 million dong (US$25,564-US$29,497) next year, it said.
