CONSIDERABLE discussions have surrounded the involvement of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) in Gateway Development Alliance (GDA), a company that announced an offer to acquire Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) on May 15.

GIP is a leading infrastructure investor that manages US$112bil (RM528bil) of assets on behalf of its investors, which comprises approximately 500 institutional investors globally.
