WCT bags RM250mil deal for highway lanes


PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary, WCT Bhd, has accepted a letter of acceptance issued by Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Bhd worth more than RM249.74mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the property developer said it will undertake and execute the works for the construction of additional PLUS highway lanes from Yong Peng to Senai.

The contract is expected to be completed within 36 months from June 28, 2024.

It added the works will include site clearance, demolition works, earthworks, drainage works, pavement works, road markings, road furniture, geo-technical works, bridge structures, environmental protection works, relocation of utilities, road lighting system and extension of vehicular box culvert.

WCT Holdings said none of its directors or major shareholders have any interest, directly or indirectly in the award.

WCT Holdings shares ended 1.29% down to close at 76.5 sen yesterday.
