KUALA LUMPUR: Scientex Packaging (Ayer Keroh) Bhd says it is committed to delivering a sustainable performance in the current financial year amid a challenging global market outlook.
The packaging producer said in comments accompanying its financial results that ongoing political uncertainties, rising inflationary pressures as well as soft market sentiment.
In the third quarter ended April 30, 2024 (3Q24), the group registered net profit of RM10.02mil, which was slightly lower than RM10.14mil in the previous-year quarter.
The group’s earnings per share was 2.86 sen as compared to 2.89 sen. Revenue, however, was higher at RM182.85mil compared with RM177.49mil.
The board of directors declared an interim dividend of 2.5 sen per share, going-ex on July 4, 2024, and payable on July 17, 2024.
