LTKM 4Q net profit nearly doubles to RM17.8mil

KUALA LUMPUR: LTKM Bhd expects challenges ahead due to easing egg supply in the local market, affecting egg prices.

The chicken egg producer, however, said the cost of major raw materials particularly corn has moderated and may contribute to lower cost of production.

“Nonetheless, management shall continue to focus on operational efficiencies and take strategic approaches in managing the challenges on the business operations,” LTKM said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024 (1Q24) almost doubled to RM17.8mil from RM9.3mil, representing an earnings per share of 12.48 sen compared to 6.52 sen.

Revenue, however, dipped to RM61.3mil compared with RM64.8mil a year ago.

For the full financial year ended March 31, LTKM posted a higher net profit of RM58.5mil on a flat revenue of RM257.7mil.
