Oppstar jumps 20.8% among Bursa top gainers


KUALA LUMPUR: Oppstar Bhd’s shares surged over 20% making it among the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia after announcing its partnership with Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.

The integrated circuit service design provider jumped 20.8%, or 26 sen to RM1.51, to its highest since November 2023. Year-to-date, the counter has risen 14.73%.

Oppstar via wholly-owned subsidiary Oppstar Technology Sdn Bhd and Samsung Electronics, have proposed to cooperate and collaborate for the production of industrial integrated circuits manufactured using Samsung 14 nanometre FinFET technology foundry process.

In addition to this, both parties are also desirous to explore cooperating on any other future projects that may arise, which align with their mutual business interests and capabilities.
