Luxchem 1Q24 showing up on trading segment


PETALING JAYA: Luxchem Corp Bhd will continue to improve its own productivity and efficiency in mitigating external challenges.

For the first quarter ended March 31, 2024 (1Q24), the industrial chemical and material group’s net profit jumped 54% year-on-year to RM11.6mil or earnings per share of 1.08 sen as revenue rose by 20% year-on-year to RM183.1mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group noted the better performance was attributable to both trading and manufacturing segments.

Luxchem’s trading segment entails the import, export and distribution of petrochemical and other related products.

The group’s manufacturing segment focuses on the manufacturing and trading of unsaturated polyester resin, latex chemical dispersions, latex processing chemicals, former cleaning agents, powder free coagulant and related products.
