FBM KLCI lower on holiday mood

PETALING JAYA: Profit-taking activities ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday led to Bursa Malaysia finishing lower yesterday.

At closing, the FBM KLCI fell 6.47 points, or 0.41%, to 1,553.51, rebounding from its intraday low of 1,553.43.

In yesterday’s session, 18 of the FBM KLCI-component stocks ended lower while five counters traded higher and seven counters remained unchanged.

On the broader market, losers outpaced gainers 496 to 466, while 540 counters were unchanged. Turnover stood at 3.46 billion shares valued at RM2.06bil.
