Epicon bags RM89.1mil building job in Perak


KUALA LUMPUR: Epicon Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Transnational Builder Sdn Bhd has secured a RM89.1mil contract from Syarikat Majuperak Bhd for main building works of 601 single-storey terrace houses and four electrical substations under a Rumah Perakku development in Sungai Terap in Kinta, Perak.

The group, former known as Konsortium Transnasional Bhd, said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the contract is expected to commence on March 27, 2024, and complete in 30 months on Sept 26, 2026.

Including the latest contract, the group said its total outstanding order book has risen to RM929mil.

"The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the company for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2024, and onwards," it said.
