Kelington signs addendum with PETRONAS to accommodate increased demand for CO2 plant

PETALING JAYA: Kelington Group Bhd has entered into an addendum to the agreement for the sale and purchase of carbon dioxide dated Nov 17, 2017 with PETRONAS Energy & Gas Trading Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kelington said the original capacity of the first carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery plant (P1) in Kemaman, Terengganu, is 50,000 metric tons per year.

“The additional capacity of the second CO2 plant (P2), which was constructed and installed at Kerteh, stands at 70,000 metric tons per year, making the combined capacity of 120,000 metric tons per year.

“The addendum is to accommodate the increased demand to meet the new capacity requirements of P2,” it said.
