SunCon wins RM721mil contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Group Bhd’s (SunCon) unit has secured a contract worth RM720.99mil from Sunway Lost World Water Park Sdn Bhd, an indirect subsidiary of Sunway Bhd, in a related party transaction.

In a filings with Bursa Malaysia, SunCon said the job was for piling, earthworks, sub-structure and main building works for the proposed development of one commercial block containing a six-floor shopping complex, cinema, shops and carpark in Hulu Kinta, Perak.

The project is expected to commence on March 1, 2024, with scheduled completion on Jan 31, 2027.
