PJBumi auditor resigns after audit fee disagreement


KUALA LUMPUR: PJBumi Bhd’s external auditor, Messrs. Chengco PLT (Chengco) has voluntarily resigned due to a disagreement over audit fees.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, PJBumi said Chengco’s term of office will end after 21 days from Feb 5.

“The resignation of Chengco is a voluntary resignation as the company and Chengco could not reach a consensus on the proposed increase of the audit fees covering the financial statements for the 12 months ending Dec 31, 2023 of the company and its subsidiaries,” it said.

PJBumi said it is not aware of any other matters that need to be brought to the attention of its shareholders.
