Hume Cement to dispose of land in Prai for RM39.8mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Hume Cement Industries Bhd (HCIB) has accepted an offer to dispose of a parcel of land together with the buildings thereon in Prai Industrial Estate, Pulau Pinang for RM39.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, HCIB said its wholly-owned subsidiary Hume Concrete Sdn Bhd (HCCT) accepted an offer from Skygate Technology (KL) Sdn Bhd for the proposed disposal.

“Assuming the proposed disposal is completed, HCIB Group expects to realise an estimated net gain on disposal of approximately RM32mil,” HCIB said.

“For illustrative purposes only, based on the HCIB shares in issue as at Dec 29, 2023, the consolidated earnings per share and consolidated net assets per share of HCIB is expected to increase by approximately 5 sen and 6 sen respectively,” it added.
