Tropicana to bank on RM2.3bil unbilled sales

PETALING JAYA: Tropicana Corp Bhd is well-positioned to deliver sustainable earnings over the next few years as it closes 2023 by surpassing its property sales target to achieve RM1.4bil and recording unbilled sales of RM2.3bil.

In a statement yesterday, the property developer said the significant increase was mainly attributable to its TropiQuest marketing campaign, customer engagement initiatives, as well as commitment from its team and agents.

Tropicana stated that the introduction of new customer-centric developments and new phases in existing townships had also contributed to the sales growth, namely Tropicana Aman, Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Metropark, Tropicana Cenang and Tropicana WindCity.

The developer is confident of fortifying its position in the market and augment earnings, citing the substantial unbilled sales of RM2.3bil and the robust property sales recorded throughout Malaysia as sources of support.

With the launch of the eight new developments dotted around the peninsula, the group said it would continue to gain traction in the market.

“This is complemented by our eight new upcoming developments worth an estimated gross development value (GDV) of over RM4bil in 2024.

“Since early 2023, we have reported a string of positive news, from our successful sukuk redemption, multiple award triumphs to positive take-up of our properties across Malaysia,” it added.

Tropicana is also certain that it would be able to maximise the value of its landbank, which totals to 1,842 acres with a potential GDV of over RM120bil, while maintaining a sustainable performance level.

The group outlined in its statement that its approach focused on future-proofing its businesses through constant engagement with stakeholders, particularly with regard to devoted property purchases, as well as marketing and sales amplification through both online and physical channels.“We aim to provide the best value, make a difference to the community and contribute to a sustainable future,” it added.

Tropicana also said it had won 11 prestigious prizes from eight industry categories last year.
