GDEX feted for cyber defence strategy at IDC awards

KUALA LUMPUR: GDEX Bhd has been awarded "Best in Future of Trust" at the 7th IDC Future Enterprise Awards that took place on Oct 30 in Singapore.

In a statement, Blackberry Ltd said GDEX, an express delivery service provider that deploys Blackberry's AI-driven software, was recognised by IDC, alongside Malaysia's other outstanding innovators, for its AI-led cyber defence strategy.

It said GDEX's strategy fortified the company's network defenses, enhancing governance and resilience, while optimising operational costs and boosting productivity, thus establishing a new benchmark in trust and reliability.

"Logistics organiations are embarking on their respective digital transformation journeys to create a competitive edge and adapt to the shifting demands of their customers.

"However, this creates a far bigger threat surface to manage. We recognized that GDEX faced a challenging cybersecurity era, with the expansion of our technology ecosystem, which led to the adoption of a ‘prevention first’ strategy enabled by BlackBerry’s Cylance AI," said GDEX chief information officer Melvin Foong.
