Salcon gets substantial shareholder


KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Corp Bhd’s (BCorp) 100%-owned subsidiary, Inter-Pacific Capital Sdn Bhd (IPC), has become a substantial shareholder of Salcon Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, BCorp said IPC acquired an aggregate of 55 million Salcon shares (including share dividend of 1.22 million Salcon shares received by IPC in May), representing a total of 5.43% equity interest in Salcon.

The acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on the net assets, earnings and gearing of the BCorp group, it said.
