EWI's Chang Khim Wah relinquishes position, Heah Kok Boon appointed as director

KUALA LUMPUR: Eco World International Bhd’s (EcoWorld International) non-independent and non-executive director Datuk Chang Khim Wah has stepped down from his position effective Oct 23.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the developer said this is to allow Chang to focus on executive role in Eco World Development Group Bhd (Eco World Malaysia).

Chang, 59, is currently the executive director, president and chief executive officer of Eco World Malaysia.

Meanwhile, EcoWorld International has appointed Datuk Heah Kok Boon, 56, as non-independent and non-executive.

Heah is the chief financial officer (CFO) of Eco World Malaysia and the alternate director to Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, the executive chairman of Eco World Malaysia. He has over 34 years of experience in audit, corporate finance and corporate investment.

As the CFO of Eco World Malaysia, Heah is responsible for overseeing all financial and corporate matters of Eco World Malaysia group.

He started his career in the audit department with KPMG. Thereafter, he joined the corporate finance department of Aseambankers Malaysia Bhd (now known as Maybank Investment Bank Bhd) and left with the last position as executive vice president.

Prior to joining Eco World Malaysia, Heah worked with S P Setia Bhd as the head of corporate affairs. He joined Eco World Malaysia on May 1, 2013.
