Trading ideas: SunCon, Waja Konsortium, Inta Bina, Vestland, Jasa Kita


KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Group Bhd (SunCon), Waja Konsortium Bhd, Inta Bina Group Bhd, Vestland Bhd and Jasa Kita Bhd are among the stocks to watch, according to Apex Securities.

SunCon’s joint venture company has won a RM595.38mil contract to design and build a distribution centre warehouse for Daiso Malaysia Group.

Waja Konsortium has secured a contract worth RM279.15mil from TH Tebrau Land Sdn Bhd as the sub-contractor for a housing project in Johor Bahru.

Inta Bina’s unit Inta Bina Sdn Bhd has received a RM100.5mil contract to develop a 24-storey commercial building in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Vestland has bagged two design and build contracts worth RM116.1mil.

Jasa Kita is disposing of a parcel of land for a cash consideration of RM43.08 million in a related party transaction.

Overnight, the U.S. stock market was flat as investors waited for the September jobs report to be released later today. Earlier, European stocks climbed after US Treasury yields came off its 16-year high.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 9.98 points, or 0.03%, to 33,119.57, the S&P 500 lost 5.56 points, or 0.13%, to 4,258.19 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 16.18 points, or 0.12%, to 13,219.83.
